Further to the government’s 6-day lockdown announcement earlier today, Greyhound Racing SA (GRSA) has been advised that there will be no racing or trialling in South Australia from midnight tonight (18/11), until midnight next Tuesday (24/11).
GRSA will await further advice from Government in relation to the period immediately following this initial 6-day lockdown and how that impacts the racing industry.
Starting November 20 racing is now on every Friday lunchtime on the One-Turn track!
Racing on the straight track is now on Tuesdays most weeks - please check the racing calender for dates - click here for calendar
The track, which is located on Kennett Road, Murray Bridge East offers tasty counter meals for all our participants and visitors as well as providing full bar and TAB facilities. Bookings can be made by calling GRSA on (08) 8243 7100.
The Murray Bridge greyhound racing complex actually comprises of two new tracks - a 1-turn 'horseshoe' track and a 350m straight track that runs parallel to the home straight of the 1-turn track.
Participants visiting Murray Bridge will note the sheer size of the new 1-turn track in comparison to the existing tracks in SA. The 640-metre circumference of the circuit is substantially bigger than Angle Park (457m), Gawler (492m), Strathalbyn (443m) and Port Augusta (520m). The term ‘1-Turn’ track refers to the majority of racing occurring around the home bend.
